Wedding Christmas Vacation absence
I'll be leaving tomorrow, to spend the rest of the year with family, as my niece is supposed to get married Friday(not too late to back out!). I'll be back sometime January 2; and don't know if I'll get to check in before.
Jolly Hanukkah Happy Christmas, Merry New Year, etc.To all!

Re: Wedding Christmas Vacation absence
Glad you're back. Hope you had a good Christmas, New Year's, and wedding ...
We had a good, long holiday with really nice weather. "Nice" meaning no snow and ±30° temps. (Not quite the same as "nice" in Florida, but I'll take it). We were actually in the upper 40's for New Year's Eve.

Re: Wedding Christmas Vacation absence
I was in Maryland. When I arrived, it was just a few degrees cooler than when I left southwest Florida. Except for a couple of days, it was nice weather. Two mornings with frost, one all day rain. The afternoon of the wedding, Friday, Dec 23(5PM), it started getting chilly, but that only lasted through Saturday, I think. It was warmer when I left there New Year's Day than yesterday & this morning(Tuesday & Wednesday) were here in Florida.
Last year it snowed Christmas day, & we were snowed in for three days.(Maryland, not Florida)

It's been a strange winter her in the Chicago area. No appreciable snow at all! Can't beat that! Although one of my sons had his new Camry rear-ended on the only icy day we had all year.

Yuck.
The paper up home said they expect a warmer than usual winter; last year was colder than normal, I think.

It's 14 here today, but sure feels like 30 to me. I must be going thru the change.

Cool, sometimes "chilly" nights here, but days are very comfy. Often close to 80 F.

Looks like it'll be a white weekend around here. They're saying 5-8". it was predicted to start around 9:00 this morning, but there's nothing yet. I love when those weathermen are wrong in cases like this!
