Be sure to watch in 720p!

I told Rags I would share a clip of my Daedalus rig, and I thought I'd demo the L.R. Baggs Anthem system while I was at it.

I haven't heard of anyone else who has put this system in a 12 string. Here I demonstrate the dual-source system in my Breedlove C25/W Custom. A couple of things I didn't mention in the video: The Daedalus cabinet is a C-81. All cables are Mogami. The guitar is strung with D'Addario EJ37 strings in open G, tuned down two and a half steps. The song excerpts are from my original composition "So They Say" © 2011 BAM Productions

Nice Vid Tele. I have a 12 string that I tuned to open D when I found a version of Amazing Grace on youtube. I'll try to take a vid of it sometime.

Tele,
Not only is your playing very nice, I really like the sound of the Anthem system in that 12-string. I think it sounds very natural with good balance. I have a weakness for 12-string guitars, and that C25/W does the job. My first Breedlove guitar, and the only 12-string in the house right now, is an AC25/SR-12 Plus. I never gave much thought to concert-size guitars of the 12-string persuasion until I picked up that Atlas series at my local guitar emporium. I was amazed, and chose it over other more expensive guitars in the shop. Having played it for a while, I would like to get some setup work done but, overall, I remain very pleased with the guitar. The undersaddle pickup in that guitar is not bad, but if I get serious the Anthem may be a consideration.

Thanks for the great video.

Thanks Guys. I appreciate it.

Trevor-It's actually in open G, tuned down two and a half steps.

Blase-Get it set up. You will love it even more.

A question, Tele...Have you compared the Anthem system to the Taylor Expression?

I don't know about the Anthem but I have always disliked my Taylor's expression. Sounds fake to me.

Tele- I did read your guitar was in open G 2.5 steps lower. I was talking about the version of Amazing Grace that I know being in Open D.

Also, I just pulled my Takamine 12-string tonight (been in the case for about 6 months), and the high e strings are hitting on the first fret!!! pale Looks like the neck needs to be reset and its not worth the money for this guitar. It may have gotten to hot at one point and the glue melted and made the neck slightly slip. Grrrr!

No offense Blase, but I dont see a comparison. Taylor's ES has been well documented for it's less than natural sound. IMO you'd be better off (and you'll save money) putting a K & K or whatever you like best in a Taylor you want to amplify. The ES was a good idea/bad execution kind of thing. At least for my taste.

If you compare the Anthem to another dual source system that includes a mic, I think it holds up very well. Of course the guitar itself is the determing factor. If a guitar doesn't sound good without a pick up or dual source system, adding one won't make it sound better. And as always, some guitars sound better with one system than they do with others. The trick is figuring out which one works best.

Thanks, Tele. I haven't made any comparisons and appreciate hearing your experience in this area.

Nice sound from the system Tele. I would like to compare it to the K and K. But as you know finding both to compare them two is near impossible.

I don't know about all the techno talk, but it sounded good to me. Good job Tele.
