Little People, Big Guitars...
...and a fair amount of talent. A wise and powerful member used to talk at length about feeling the need to turn his guitar(s) into kindling after seeing a video such as this. I now feel the need to borrow his ax. < grin >

How so mahoga10? Here we have children as young or younger playing football exactly like adults. Had a co-worker who spent $$$$ for his son on a go-cart, lessons and constant upgrades in hopes of him someday moving into nascar. When he told me of the money and time their whole family devoted to racing around a track in left handed circles I felt sorry for him and them. I could go on and on but it just seems to me that guitar and music don't seem quite so bad in comparison. Just my $0.02 worth.

I just don't see any emotional involvement -- seems like it is a rote performance...technically masterful but conceptually vacant. Kind of a brute force thing...similar to PRC gymnastics, education, manufacturing, etc.
Not defending excessive (or absurd?) parental pressures here - child beauty contests kreep me out, and bless those who umpire youth games!!
