My "new" guitar!
A few months back I bought a Breedlove American Series OM/SM from MacNichol. I have really enjoyed the guitar -- great mid-range and treble. Also has a great growl feeling, but the bass was not as strong as I would like (yes, I know its an OM size!). I just had MacNichol install a bone nut/saddle and medium strings. Picked up the guitar today and what a difference! Gained not only a good bass response (I can now hear what I feel through the guitar) but also in mid-range and treble.
And as usual, MacNichol goes a step beyond -- I had requested D'Addario EJ-17s for the medium strings, and was pleasantly surprised that they had picked out GHS Vintage Bronze strings knowing the sound I was looking for (and they hit it on the head!). Its the little things like this that really makes MacNichol, Michael and Justin such a pleasure to deal with.

I have not had the pleasure of dealing with Macnichol personaly, but I have only heard goods things from the people that have. I installed a bone saddle on my Atlas a couple of years ago and I couldnt agree more, it's the single most inexpensive upgrade you can make to your guitar.

I am glad you are enjoying the new guitar. My experience with my Breedlove guitar is it only gets a better sound the older it gets. Again enjoy the guitar.
